Young Writer of the Year Award

The Sunday Times Young Writer of the Year award is a literary prize awarded to a British author under the age of 35 for a published work of fiction, non-fiction or poetry.

We won this pitch as part of a national competition announced on Twitter. Key requirements of the brief included a small, fixed budget and tight deadline to coincide with the opening of the competition for 2017.

Working with the existing logo we created a new graphic language for the brand. Fresh, clean intuitive design with subtle graphic elements alluding to an open book and the repeat of the orange circles in the logo. The website launched in May 2017.

“Working with &Agency has been a remarkable experience. We gave them a challenging brief with a lot of elements, an incredibly tight deadline, and the opinions of a number of partners to juggle, and they came up absolute trumps, getting the concept first time, and delivering the brief both incredibly quickly and very professionally. They’re flexible, imaginative, a pleasure to work with, and I cannot recommend them highly enough.”
