We were commissioned by Channel 4 to create an animated presentation of their annual report.
Working with the graphic language of the printed report we created a mixed-media stop frame animation, including a mix of origami animals and objects animated with real hands to illustrate key points throughout the presentation.
We brought together a top-class team of collaborators to realise this ambitious 2D, 3D and video animation.
A key challenge was the dramatically shifting landscape of the presentation content, with big editorial changes right up to the last minute – we had to move fast, implementing changes while preserving the story were telling.
The animators and post-production specialists, 1984, subsequently produced a beautiful short film using the stunning 3D origami animals, managing to realise the potential we all saw in them.
“Nina and Asa are a delight to work with. From the outset they understood the brief, interpreted it with great creative flair and worked day and night to produce a beautiful finished product. At every step they listened carefully and came up with imaginative solutions bringing great insight and humour to a difficult project with superb results. We’d work with them again in a heartbeat.”
